The family plays an important role in every medical and life-changing process. It is important to involve patients’ relatives in their treatment from the very beginning, provided this is what they wish.
We therefore recommend that a family member attends the initial appointments. Experience has shown that the course and success of treatment are significantly better and more satisfactory for patients when the family is involved and provides support.
