THERAPY

We promote a holistic approach in neurosurgery....However if there is paralysis or incontinence of bladder and bowel we recommend expeditious surgery. Minimal invasive techniques are preferred. We walk with our patients on the day of surgery. We avoid catheters. Patients are expected to go home within 1 to 3 days after surgery without narcotics. Often a combination of physical therapy and exercise, along with effective local pain control will suffice.

Going forward, we assist seniors with improving their mobility. While there is a tendency for poor choices in walkers, canes, shoes, lazy boys and pain medication, we will assist in acquiring new skills and promote walking.
